Product Information
The Garmin Descent X10 is an essential dive computer built around a 2.1-inch monochrome MIP display with a depth- or button-activated backlight and large, easy-to-read text. The housing and bezel are made with 100% recycled ocean-bound plastics, and the computer is rated for dives to 100 meters.
It supports single-gas scuba, apnea and gauge dive profiles with custom dive data screens. NDL Aware depth metrics show in real time how a change in depth would affect your no-decompression limit, so you can plan how to extend your bottom time. The leakproof inductive buttons can be oriented on top of the display with flip-screen mode, and a rental mode lets dive schools reset device configurations for multiple divers.
After the dive, logs upload over Bluetooth to the Garmin Dive app, where you can tag locations, track your gear usage and share your dives. Battery life runs up to 50 hours in dive mode and up to 6 months in standby. The included hinged silicone band fits over wetsuits. The device is compatible with 26 mm QuickFit bands and replaceable bezel guards in four colors, both sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
What dive modes does the Garmin Descent X10 support?
The Descent X10 supports three dive profiles: single-gas scuba, apnea (freediving) and gauge mode. Each mode can be customized with the data pages you want to see. Multi-gas, closed-circuit rebreather and pool modes are found on the Descent X30 and X50i instead.
What is the difference between the Garmin Descent X10 and the Descent X30?
The X10 is the essential, lighter model: a 2.1 in monochrome MIP display with a depth- or button-activated backlight, 130 g with the band, single-gas, apnea and gauge profiles, up to 50 hours in dive mode and Bluetooth only. The X30 has a larger 2.4 in color display and adds multi-gas diving, surface GPS and navigation, a dive compass, a dynamic depth chart, smart notifications, inReach compatibility and ANT+. Both are rated to 100 meters, use NDL Aware depth metrics, sync with the Garmin Dive app and are made with recycled ocean-bound plastics.
How long does the Descent X10 battery last?
Up to 50 hours in dive mode and up to 6 months in standby. It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and charges with the Garmin charging/data cable included in the box.
Does the Garmin Descent X10 connect to my phone?
Yes. It pairs over Bluetooth with the Garmin Dive app, which uploads your dive logs automatically after each dive and lets you tag locations, track your gear usage and share dives. The X10 does not display smartphone notifications; that feature is on the X30 and X50i.
What are NDL Aware depth metrics on the Descent X10?
NDL Aware depth metrics show in real time how moving shallower or deeper would change your no-decompression limit (NDL). That makes it easier to see how a small change in depth can extend your bottom time without going into decompression.
Does the Descent X10 have GPS or a compass?
No. The X10 focuses on essential dive data and does not include surface GPS, navigation or a dive compass. If you need those, the Garmin Descent X30 and X50i include surface GPS, navigation and a dive compass.
What band comes with the Descent X10, and can I change it?
It ships with a hinged silicone band, 140-360 mm, that fits over wetsuits. The device is compatible with 26 mm QuickFit bands and replaceable bezel guards in four colors, both sold separately.
