The Scubapro Hydros Accessory Bungee Set is a practical solution for securing dive lights or organizing hose routing during scuba diving. It helps keep gear within reach and reduces snag hazards, supporting safer, streamlined underwater operations. Designed for recreational diving, the BCD accessory attaches to mini D-rings or the tank plate and includes two bungee loops with cord locks for quick adjustments. Scubapro Hydros Accessory Bungees are smaller than they look, but the Medium size works well for securing my action camera floatie handgrip in place. To set them up, you loop the bungee back through itself to attach to the d-ring fixation point. The center piece then slides down to clamp the accessory.
While they perform great with the grippy, foamy action camera handle, they may be less secure on heavier gear with a slick surface—like my dive light. For that setup, I’d recommend adding a second attachment point on the BCD (for example, using the metal d-rings with a snap hook on a longer lanyard) to help ensure the light doesn’t end up on the ocean floor.
Scubapro Hydros Accessory Bungee Set are smaller than they look, and I find the (L)arge size is necessary to get my SMB secured in place. They are a bit expensive for what you get, and I have seen some comments from others that theirs broke early on. I have 4 more major dive trips scheduled for 2026, so I will do a follow-up review at years end to document how well they withstood the near 80 dives I have planned.
