Wetsuit Fitment and Sizing Guide

Thank you for shopping with DiveCatalog.com.  We included this guide to help you with some tips on trying out your wetsuit because getting into a wetsuit is usually not easy.

First and foremost, please avoid removing any tags and keep all the packaging until you know you're going to keep the suit and try on the suit in a safe and clean environment in case you need to return the suit.

Tips on trying out the Wetsuit:

1.
Try it on from a seated position in a clean environment

2.  Be mindful if you have long nails, it may cut into the neoprene

3.  Try wearing a dive skin or rashguard if you have one, the material will help you slip through the suit in tighter areas while providing an additional layer of sun protection in between dives.

4.  Put a plastic bag over your hands and feet when you put on the suit, it'll help your hands and feet slip right through the suit.

5.  Buy inexpensive lycra bodysuits socks, or gloves.  You can also use thin dress socks to help you get in the suit.(Let us know if you have anything else you'd like us to add)

Wetsuits can be Layered

You can add layers to the wetsuits with a dive skin or vests depending on the fit and the water temperature.  Sometimes our bodyweight fluctuates and if the suit starts to feel a bit looser you can consider adding a 1-2mm vest, if it gets a bit tighter you can add a dive skin or rashguard to help make it easy to put on and take off.

When it's not a Good Fit

Unfortunately sometimes the suit just doesn't fit.  Search the suit on our website and check the size guid to make sure you have the correct size and see if another size might fit better.  Reach out to us to see if we can help.  Our staff will know which suits are designed for different body types and shapes.   A higher quality and more stretchy suit may be a better option for you if you have a unique body shape.

It's very costly for everyone including our vendors, customers, and the environment when we get unsellable suits back.  In some instances damages may incur a fee and the last thing we want is to enforce any restocking fees.

If you do need to send the wetsuit back, please be mindful of how you package it.  The best way to mail out a wetsuit is to fold it by the limbs and the waist or to roll the suit from the legs.

Tip:  If you know of any other divers in your community that might want to try out the suit, please give them the opportunity to try it in person before returning the suit.  Thank you!
