Fusion Marine Amplifiers: Apollo and Signature Series

When a stereo's built-in amplifier is not enough for the speakers, zones or subwoofers you want, Fusion's marine amplifiers take over. The Apollo amplifiers are Class D units designed, in Garmin's words, exclusively for Fusion marine entertainment systems: monoblock, 4, 6 and 8 channel models plus a compact zone amp, with Easy Tune DSP profiles set from the app and a High Power bridging mode. The Signature Series amplifiers are Fusion's flagship power line with conformal-coated boards, variable crossovers and bass boost, topped by the 2,250 watt monoblock built for subwoofers. Both carry Fusion's 3-year warranty.

At DiveCatalog.com we carry Fusion amplifiers as an authorized Garmin dealer. Specifications below come from Garmin's official product pages and owner's manuals.

All Apollo amplifiers are Class D with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz response, RCA inputs, reverse-voltage, under and over-voltage, over-temperature and short protection, an electronic fuse that never needs replacing, SAE J1171 ignition protection and a white powder-coated aluminum case. The monoblock and multichannel units are IPX2 for protected mounting; the zone amp is IPX7. Launched August 2021.

The Lineup in Detail

Fusion Apollo Marine Amplifiers

Garmin built the Apollo amplifiers to pair with its DSP-enabled stereos: the Apollo RA770, RA670, RA800, WB675, SRX400 and the RA210. Easy Tune lets you pick the matching DSP profile in the Fusion-Link or Garmin Audio app instead of setting gains and crossovers by hand, and High Power Mode bridges channel pairs for 580 watts into a subwoofer or large speaker with the adapters in the box. Choose the Monoblock for a dedicated sub, the 4, 6 or 8 channel units to power two, three or four zones at 150 watts per channel, and the little Zone Amplifier to add a fifth zone such as a tower or a bow seat. See the full set in the Apollo amplifier listing.

Fusion Signature Series 2,250 Watt Monoblock Amplifier

Fusion's flagship subwoofer amplifier. Rated 500 watts RMS into 4 ohms, 850 into 2 ohms and 1,100 into 1 ohm, with 2,250 watts peak, a 10 Hz to 320 Hz subwoofer response, a variable low-pass filter from 32 to 320 Hz, a subsonic filter from 10 to 80 Hz, adjustable bass boost and 0.3 to 8 volt input sensitivity to match any Fusion or third-party stereo. Conformal-coated circuit boards and an aluminum heat sink are built for the marine environment, with 3 x 40 amp ATC fuses and SAE J1171 ignition protection. The Signature Series also includes 4, 5, 6 and 8 channel amplifiers for full systems. Garmin's line: "Purpose-built for the marine environment, the Signature Series marine amplifiers deliver a Signature performance out on the water."

Frequently Asked Questions: Fusion Amplifiers

Do Apollo amplifiers work with non-Fusion stereos?

They accept standard RCA inputs, but Garmin designed them exclusively for Fusion systems, and Easy Tune DSP profiles require a DSP-enabled Fusion stereo such as the Apollo RA770, RA670, RA800, WB675, SRX400 or the RA210.

What does High Power Mode do?

It bridges pairs of channels on the 4, 6 and 8 channel Apollo amps to deliver 580 watts RMS per bridged pair at 4 ohms for subwoofers or large speakers, using the adapters included in the box.

Can the Signature monoblock run at 1 ohm?

Yes. Garmin rates it at 1,100 watts RMS into 1 ohm, 850 into 2 ohms and 500 into 4 ohms.
