SEAC — Italian Diving Equipment Since 1971
SEAC began in 1971 in San Colombano Certenoli, a small town in the province of Genoa, Italy — the brainchild of longtime diving enthusiasts Attilio Rapallini and Marco Arata. The company's earliest work was producing metallurgical arrows and tridents for spearguns, building expertise in precision components before recognizing the broader opportunity in full diving equipment. As Marco's son Daniele Arata joined the company, SEAC reorganized around design, technological evolution, and international growth, eventually opening its first US office in New York in 2012.
SEAC's name stands for Sub Equipment And Clothing, and the brand has spent over five decades genuinely earning that broad scope — in 1987, SEAC introduced the first Italian dive computer watch, a significant milestone in diving safety technology. Today the company designs, develops, and prototypes everything in-house at its Italian headquarters, with every finished product manually inspected and tested to European standards before it ships. SEAC's facility now runs on renewable energy through an in-house photovoltaic system, part of a broader sustainability commitment that includes re-shoring production to reduce its overall carbon footprint.
At DiveCatalog.com, we carry the full current SEAC lineup as an authorized dealer: masks, fins, snorkels, BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, dive computers, and accessories. Browse the subcategories below or explore the full SEAC catalog here.
The SEAC Product Range
Masks
The Raptor is SEAC's low-volume freediving and spearfishing mask with 3mm tempered glass lenses and an overmolded silicone skirt for a secure seal. The Pura is genuinely distinctive — the first dive and snorkeling mask with permanent anti-fog treatment baked directly into the glass using plasma technology, eliminating sprays and burning agents entirely. The Libera is SEAC's full-face snorkeling mask, with laboratory-tested breathing efficiency and verified CO2 levels.
Fins
The Shout S700 is a long freediving and spearfishing fin with a soft blade angled at 22° for efficient propulsion, made in Italy and compatible with 2.5mm neoprene boots.
Regulators
The IT500 is SEAC's flagship regulator — a hot-forged, machined first stage with a balanced diaphragm design, EN250 A cold-water certification, an ergonomic dive/pre-dive lever integrated with breathing-effort adjustment, and an Exhaust Deflector geometry that prevents water ingress through the exhaust valve even in strong side currents. Available in DIN and INT (Yoke), with two HP and four LP ports. The IT300 is SEAC's compact, lightweight octopus, fully CE EN 250-2014 compliant and made in Italy.
Wetsuits
The Komoda Flex is SEAC's signature one-piece wetsuit (available in 3mm, 5mm, and 7mm, men's and women's), built with UltraStretch neoprene, an Aquastop system at the collar, cuffs, and ankles, honeycomb rubber chest protection, and reinforced kneepads — CE 14225-1 certified. The Ghost spearfishing pants use camouflage UltraStretch neoprene with the SSRS (Super-Stretch Round Seal) System for genuinely minimized water flushing at the ankles.
Boots
The Basic HD uses 5mm neoprene with a semi-rigid sole, stainless steel zipper, Velcro strap closure, and a PU instep insert for added support.
Key SEAC Technologies
Plasma Anti-Fog Treatment (Pura Mask): A permanent anti-fog coating baked directly into the lens glass using plasma technology — not a spray-on or wipe-on solution that wears off, but a built-in treatment that lasts the life of the mask.
Aquastop System: SEAC's water-intrusion seal technology, using smooth neoprene at the collar, cuffs, and ankles to reduce flushing at the points where wetsuits most commonly let water in.
Exhaust Deflector: Found on SEAC's premium regulators, this geometry prevents water ingress through the second-stage exhaust valve even in strong side currents, while also directing expelled bubbles to the sides of the diver's face rather than directly across the field of vision.

Frequently Asked Questions — SEAC
Who founded SEAC and when?
SEAC was founded in 1971 in San Colombano Certenoli, Italy, by Attilio Rapallini and Marco Arata, beginning as a workshop producing speargun components before expanding into full diving equipment. Marco's son Daniele Arata later joined and helped reorganize the company around design, technology, and international growth.
What does SEAC stand for?
Sub Equipment And Clothing — reflecting the company's eventual expansion from its speargun-component origins into a comprehensive diving, freediving, snorkeling, and spearfishing equipment manufacturer.
What is the Pura mask's plasma anti-fog treatment?
It's a permanent anti-fog coating baked directly into the lens glass using plasma technology — unlike spray-on anti-fog solutions that wear off and need reapplication, this treatment is built into the glass itself and lasts the life of the mask.
Is SEAC gear made in Italy?
Yes — SEAC designs, develops, and manufactures at its headquarters in San Colombano Certenoli, Italy, with every finished product individually inspected and tested before shipping. The facility now runs on renewable energy through its own photovoltaic system.
