Fusion Marine Subwoofers: FM, XS and Apollo
Marine coaxials handle the midrange and highs well, but bass needs a dedicated driver, and on the water it also needs to survive salt, sun and spray. Fusion's subwoofers do both. The FM Series 10-inch mounts nearly flush with a 3 mm grille. The XS Series 10-inch is the midrange choice with an RGB option. The Apollo subwoofers (October 2024) are the premium line in 10 and 12 inches with dual CRGBW LED rings and IP67 construction. All are sold by DiveCatalog.com as an authorized Garmin dealer. Specifications come from Garmin's official product pages.

The Lineup in Detail
FM Series 10-inch Flush-Mount Subwoofer
Garmin's words: "Enhance your on-water listening experience with quality bass" in "a sleek and minimalistic form factor." The grille stands just 3 mm proud, in round or square, white or black, to match FM Series speakers. 400 watts peak, 120 watts RMS, 87 dB sensitivity, IP65 and True-Marine tested, with a 269 mm cutout and 140 mm depth.
XS Series 10-inch Subwoofer
The midrange sub with the most power per dollar in the line: 600 watts peak, 120 watts RMS, 87 dB, a shallower 113 mm depth and a 223 mm cutout, in Classic, Sports or Sports RGB finishes to match XS speakers, IP65 and True-Marine.
Apollo Subwoofers, 10 and 12 inch (October 2024)
Garmin describes the Apollo subwoofers as delivering "crystal-clear premium bass," with dual-hue CRGBW lighting rings, interchangeable grilles and ABYC plug-and-play connectors that pair with Apollo speakers. The 10-inch is rated 300 watts RMS and takes 50 to 300 watts of amplification; the 12-inch is rated 700 watts RMS with a response down to 20 Hz and wants 200 to 700 watts, which makes the Signature Series 2,250 watt monoblock or Apollo monoblock the natural match. Both are IP66 and IP67 rated to ISO 12216.
Powering a Subwoofer
Fusion stereos provide a subwoofer line-out per zone but do not power a sub directly. Pair a 10-inch FM or XS with an Apollo 4 or 6 channel amplifier in High Power bridged mode (580 watts) or an Apollo monoblock (650 watts at 4 ohms). The Apollo 12-inch at 700 watts RMS is best fed by the Signature Series monoblock or the Apollo monoblock at 2 ohms.
