Product Information

The BARE 3/2mm Elate Full is a women's 3/2 mm full wetsuit built around a high-stretch neoprene blend, an anatomically correct 3D pattern through the shoulder and neck, and an extra-long heavy-duty back zipper. It is a warm-water, multi-sport suit for scuba diving, snorkeling and surface watersports, offered in Grey in sizes 02 to 14.

Who it is for

This suit is made for adult female divers and watersport athletes who want one suit that moves naturally across activities. The 3 mm core with 2 mm extremities keeps warmth over the torso while leaving the arms and legs easier to bend, so it suits warm-water diving, snorkeling, and paddling or boat days where you are in and out of the water. If you want maximum shoulder and neck mobility rather than maximum insulation, the Elate Full is the right side of that trade.

Key details

  • Thickness: 3/2 mm, 3 mm core and 2 mm extremities.
  • Material: High-Stretch Neoprene Blend using a proprietary neoprene and laminate construction.
  • Fit: anatomically correct pattern in the shoulder and neck area for a three-dimensional fit.

  • Chemistry: BARE is 100% PFC-Free.

Compatibility and sizing

Sizes here run 02, 04, 06, 08, 10, 12 and 14 in Grey. BARE also publishes Tall and Plus size options for the Elate Full line, so if a standard numeric size is close but not right through the torso or inseam, ask us before you choose.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should a wetsuit fit?

A wetsuit should feel snug everywhere, with no loose pockets at the lower back, armpits, or behind the knees where water can collect and flush. It will feel tighter than normal clothing on land, which is expected, because the suit works by holding a thin layer of water that your body warms. If you cannot take a full breath or the neck chokes you it is too small, and if you can pinch loose folds of neoprene it is too big.

What do you wear under a wetsuit?

Most divers wear a swimsuit, a rash guard, or a thin dive-specific base layer under a wetsuit. A slick base layer makes a tight suit much easier to pull on and cuts down chafing at the neck, shoulders, and underarms. Avoid thick cotton clothing, which soaks up water, bunches, and makes you colder rather than warmer.

How do you put on a tight wetsuit?

Work upward in small sections, pulling a little neoprene at a time rather than yanking on one spot, and get the suit fully seated at the ankles and knees before working on the hips and shoulders. A plastic bag over each foot and hand, or wetting the suit first, helps it slide into place. Grip with flat palms rather than fingertips, since fingernails are the most common cause of torn neoprene.

Does a thicker wetsuit mean a warmer wetsuit?

As a general rule, thicker neoprene insulates more, so a higher millimeter rating is warmer in the same conditions. Warmth also depends heavily on fit, suit style, seam construction, whether you add a hood, boots, and gloves, how long the dive is, and your own cold tolerance, so two divers in identical suits can feel very differently. Use thickness as a starting point and refine it against your local conditions and personal experience.

How do I care for and store a wetsuit?

Rinse it inside and out in fresh water after every dive day, and use a wetsuit-specific wash occasionally to control odor. Dry it inside-out first and then flip it, always out of direct sunlight, because UV and heat break down neoprene faster than anything else. Store it hanging on a wide-shouldered hanger or laid flat rather than folded, so you do not set permanent creases.

How long does a wetsuit last?

Lifespan depends far more on use and care than on age, so a suit dived hard in sun and chlorine may soften within a couple of seasons while a well-rinsed occasional-use suit can last many years. Signs a suit is finished include compressed neoprene that no longer feels buoyant or warm, splitting seams, and looseness in areas that used to be snug. Repairing small cuts and seam separations early adds meaningfully to a suit's life.

What is the difference between a full suit, a shorty, and wetsuit separates?

A full suit covers arms and legs, a shorty stops at the upper arms and thighs, and separates such as tops, bottoms, and hooded vests layer to add warmth where you want it. Layering a vest or top under a full suit adds core warmth and can extend the range of a suit you already own. Choose based on how much coverage you want, both for warmth and for protection against stings and abrasion.

What water temperatures is the BARE Elate Full 3/2mm suited to?

The Elate Full is a 3/2 mm suit, meaning 3 mm over the core and 2 mm at the extremities, which places it in the warm-water end of the wetsuit range. BARE positions it as a multi-sport suit for diving and other watersports. Warmth also depends on fit, dive length and personal cold tolerance, so adding a vest, hood or boots extends its usable range. Call us if you want help matching it to your dive sites.

What sizes does the BARE Elate Full come in?

Sizes 02, 04, 06, 08, 10, 12 and 14 are listed here in Grey. BARE also publishes Tall sizes (4, 6 and 8 Tall) and Plus sizes (6+, 8+, 10+ and 12+) for the Elate Full, so divers who fall between standard numeric sizes through the torso or inseam have options. Contact DiveCatalog.com with your height, weight and chest measurement and we will advise.

What does the integrated suit saver on the collar do?

The integrated suit saver sits behind the low-profile Velcro collar tab and shields the neoprene from the hook-and-loop fastener. The integrated suit saver shields the neoprene at the neck from the hook-and-loop collar tab. Paired with the low-profile tab, it keeps bulk down at the throat while protecting the material over the life of the suit.

Does the Elate Full ship with anything besides the wetsuit?

Yes. BARE packages the 3/2mm Elate Full with a reusable hanger and a PLA compostable and recyclable bag. The included reusable hanger is useful for storing the suit between uses. BARE also builds the suit as part of its 100% PFC-Free program.

Great Fit, Great Performance

As an experienced scuba diver, I found this wetsuit to be extremely comfortable with an excellent fit. It's snug without being restrictive, provides a full range of motion, and remains comfortable throughout a full day of diving. The quality is excellent, and it performs exactly as expected underwater. I would definitely recommend it to other divers.
