Product Information
The Garmin fēnix 9 Pro gives serious athletes, divers and outdoor adventurers the ultimate in performance, connectivity and style — the first-ever titanium fēnix case, a scratch-resistant sapphire lens, built-in LED flashlight, 40-meter dive rating, and your choice of AMOLED or solar-charged display with battery life up to 31 days, or up to 57 days with solar.
Built for divers. The fēnix 9 line is dive-rated to 40 meters with a 10 ATM water rating (withstands pressure equivalent to 100 m), leakproof metal buttons and a scratch-resistant sapphire lens. Garmin's fēnix dive feature set covers scuba diving and apnea (freediving) activities, and pairs with the Garmin Dive™ app to log and review your dives — making this the rare adventure smartwatch you can genuinely take underwater, then wear to dinner.
inReach connectivity, no phone required. Select models add LTE and satellite: make calls, send texts, share your LiveTrack location, get weather, use Garmin Locate and trigger interactive SOS — from your wrist, on or off the grid (subscription required). For dive travel to remote sites, that means staying reachable from the boat without cell coverage.
Train and navigate at the top level. Enhanced stamina and endurance tracking, rowing and rucking enhancements, 100+ activity profiles, and smoother multicontinent TopoActive maps with dynamic round-trip routing and NextFork guidance. Garmin Epic turns multi-day adventures — and dive trips — into one shareable storyline.
Can I scuba dive or freedive with it?
Yes — it is dive-rated to 40 meters (10 ATM) with Garmin's dive activities for scuba and apnea/freediving, and syncs dive logs to the Garmin Dive™ app.
What's the difference between fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro?
The Pro adds the first titanium fēnix case, AMOLED or solar display options, and inReach models with LTE + satellite messaging, calling and SOS.
Do inReach features need a subscription?
Yes — LTE and satellite features on inReach models require an active subscription.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 31 days in smartwatch mode on AMOLED models; solar models run up to 21–34 days, extending to 57 days with solar charging.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Garmin fēnix 9 Pro waterproof?
It is rated 10 ATM and also carries a 4 ATM Dive (EN 13319) rating, so it is built for swimming, snorkeling and diving rather than just splashes. Garmin states it is dive rated up to 40 meters, and the built-in depth sensor is accurate from 0 to 40 m (0 to 131 ft) with 0.1 m resolution, complying with EN 13319.
Which fēnix 9 Pro models have inReach technology?
The inReach versions do: fēnix 9 Pro inReach and fēnix 9 Pro inReach Solar. Those models connect to geostationary communication satellites and LTE-M cellular networks for inReach SOS, messaging to pre-selected recipients, LiveTrack notifications in the Garmin Messenger app and satellite weather forecasts. An active subscription is required. By default they use your phone's LTE connection when the phone is within Bluetooth range.
Which size and version gives the longest battery life?
The 51 mm Solar leads, with up to 30 days in smartwatch mode and up to 57 days when solar charging is included. The 51 mm AMOLED reaches up to 31 days in smartwatch mode, the 47 mm up to 18 days and the 43 mm up to 10 days. Garmin's solar figures assume all-day wear with 3 hours per day outside in 50,000 lux conditions.
What is the difference between the AMOLED and Solar versions?
The AMOLED versions come in 43 mm, 47 mm and 51 mm and use an AMOLED display with up to 3,000 nits of brightness. The Solar versions add a solar-charged display for much longer runtimes, such as up to 740 hours in max battery activity mode on the 47 mm with solar, but they are offered only in 47 mm and 51 mm.
Review summary
This is a used Garmin fēnix 9 Pro multisport GPS smartwatch. It has a titanium case, a scratch-resistant sapphire lens, a built-in LED flashlight, and a 40-meter dive rating with 10 ATM water resistance, plus scuba and apnea activities that sync to the Garmin Dive app. It comes with 100-plus activity profiles, TopoActive mapping, and up to 31 days of battery in smartwatch mode. Select models add LTE and satellite messaging. Written reviews are still few. One early reviewer simply calls it nice. It suits divers and outdoor athletes who want one watch for both, and who accept possible missing packaging, minor blemishes, and no manufacturer warranty.
