Description

SCUBAPRO’s 2022 Seawing Supernova is the next generation of powerful SCUBAPRO fins. Winner of the Red Dot Award for product design, the new Seawing Supernova outperforms the Seawing Nova in performance, construction, fit, and versatility. The flexible Auto-Adjust central panel fine-tunes the angle of attack based on the strength of kick, providing comfort and control. The twin-tip winglets improve maneuverability for frog and alternate kicks. The two-piece design allows for easy transport, and the optional full foot pocket adapts to warm-water dive scenarios. The Supernova is the preferred fin for recreational and professional divers seeking speed, power, and control in all diving conditions.

worked great, had to do twice to get the bite plate a little thinner and more comfortable, molded perfectly and super comfortable. since I tend to gag this was a huge help over the fat rental mouthpiece. highly recommend!!!

Fins could be great, but with a 1 year warranty - I’ll stick with the regular Nova’s which have a lifetime warranty.

I wish they provided a lifetime warranty on them, as the modular design appeals to me but they do not.

Kudos tot he DiveCatalog team. They answered all my questions I had on these fins via the chat feature. Answering my shipping status questions afterwards. Bought on Tuesday, received on Friday. Came immaculate, well packaged. Now I have a goto place for my gear!

The New and improved Nova. I'm a fan of the Nova full foot and used it all summer long snorkeling in Arashi in Aruba. The Novas are just like jet propulsion devices in the water. I cut through the current with easy. Easily the fastest fin to effort I've ever had.

Now with the Supernovas I plan to snorkel all over Indonesia, starting in Raja Ampat this May. Why did I get a new pair when I already own a pair of Novas? Well, easy. They break down and only weight 100g more than my Novas full foots. I'm planning to travel carry on only with a 7KG limit on Air Asia flights all over SEA, so this is exactly what I needed.

I just tried them today in the pool and I'm happy to report that they are just as powerful as the older Novas. With the added maneuverability to make turns and the frog kicks are very decent. It's almost effortless. They are truly a marvel of product engineering. And yes, my search for the perfect travel fin is over. The Supernovas are the ones I'm taking.

I started with the Tusa Hyflex and the Vesnas. The Tusa foot pocket is wide and my feet were just shifting all over the place. If I tightened more, my toes would touch the front of the pocket and this was very uncomfortable. Then came my experience with the Scubapro Go Sport fins. I got a size S just to see if they would fit and they did! They were great, light, returned great propulsion for the effort and were excellent sized for travel. This got me thinking: Hey I fit in a size S Scubapro fin, maybe I could get the Supernovas in size S after all. So thanks to the Go sports, I ordered the Supernovas. I'm ready for anything now.
