Product Information

This package pairs the Hollis Elite ST System BCD with a matched 150LX regulator set, so you get a complete backplate-and-wing rig and the regulators to run it in one order. The Elite ST System brings Hollis's most popular single-tank components together with the Elite 2 harness, giving you the adjustable comfort of a full-featured BCD but built on a backplate for added stability. It's available in three harness sizes, XS/S (X-Small/Small), ML (Medium Large), and XL/2XL (X-Large/2X-Large), so you can pick the fit that matches you before it ships.

The Holis 150LX DC7 Dive Regulator Set is built around a DC7 first stage paired with a pneumatically balanced, chrome-plated brass 150LX second stage, so breathing stays smooth and consistent whether it's set up as your primary or as a deco regulator. The reversible demand valve lets you configure hose routing on either side, and the adjustable Dive/Pre-Dive switch with its large Venturi lever and soft rubber grip is easy to find and operate underwater. The matching Hollis 150LX Stainless Steel Octopus carries the same pneumatically balanced valve, reversible demand valve, and Dive/Pre-Dive switch, so your primary and backup air source handle the same way when you need to hand it off.

Both regulators share the details that hold up over repeated dives: MiFlex braided hoses, stainless steel cosmetic rings, ergonomic exhaust channels that route bubbles away from your field of view, and an orthodontic mouthpiece with dual color tabs so you can tell primary from octopus at a glance. All three pieces are suitable for coldwater diving, so this setup covers a backplate-and-wing BCD, a primary/deco regulator, and a matching octopus in a single order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Hollis Elite ST System?

The ST Elite System brings Hollis's most popular single-tank BCD components together into one setup, built around the adjustable Elite 2 harness so it feels closer to a full-featured BCD even though it's mounted on a backplate. It's a step up in customization from the baseline ST, and comes in two versions: a cold-water ST Elite and a lighter ST Elite Travel System. Both give you a backplate-style platform with a lot of room to configure the rig to your diving style.

What's the difference between the ST Elite and the ST Elite Travel System?

The standard ST Elite is built for colder water with the ST35 wing (35 lb / 16 kg lift), a stainless steel Backplate 2.0, and stainless cam bands. The ST Elite Travel System swaps in the more streamlined ST22 wing (22 lb / 10 kg lift), an aluminum Backplate 2.0, and Delrin cam bands for a lighter, travel-friendly setup. Both versions use the same Elite 2 harness and Backplate backpad 2.0.

How much lift does the ST35 wing on the Hollis ST Elite provide?

The ST35 wing, used on the standard cold-water version of the ST Elite System, is rated for 35 lb / 16 kg of lift. The travel version of the system uses the smaller ST22 wing instead, rated at 22 lb / 10 kg lift.

What kind of harness does the Hollis ST Elite use?

The ST Elite uses Hollis's Elite 2 harness, described as adjustable and more luxurious than the solo harness on the baseline ST. It's meant to give you the comfort of a full-featured BCD while keeping the stability of a backplate setup underneath.

How much does the Hollis ST Elite system weigh?

Our spec data only lists a weight for the stainless steel backplate: 6.5 lb / 3 kg. Weight for the aluminum backplate or the fully assembled wing-and-harness system isn't published in our specs, so we can't give you a full-system number.

What's the difference between the Hollis ST and the ST Elite?

Per Hollis, the ST Elite is similar to the baseline ST but replaces the solo harness with the adjustable Elite 2 harness, giving it more of a full-featured-BCD feel rather than a minimalist backplate rig. We don't have detailed specs on the baseline ST itself in our data, so that's the main documented difference we can confirm.
