Product Information

The Scubapro Flashy LED Dive Light - Individual LED is a mini LED flashing light that works as a personal marker light for night diving, rated to 328 ft (100 m) and running up to 12 hours on replaceable CR1220 batteries. Sold here as a single unit (SKU 30.101.250-Individual), it ships with a key ring, a plastic clip and a cord so it can be attached to gear, a BCD or a line.

Who it is for

It is made for recreational divers who dive at night, at dusk or in low visibility and want to stay identifiable in the water. Use it as a tank or BCD marker so your buddy and the boat can pick you out, clip it to a float line, an exit point or a piece of staged equipment, or carry it as a backup signaling item on your harness. The plastic body keeps it light and unobtrusive, so it adds signaling without adding bulk to an existing scuba setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the Flashy LED be clipped to gear or an exit line to mark it at night?

Yes. Each Flashy LED unit comes with a key ring, a plastic clip and a cord, so it can be attached to a BCD, a tank valve, a harness, a float line or a piece of staged equipment. SCUBAPRO describes it as a mini LED flashing light that works as a marker light for virtually any night diving scenario, and it is rated to 328 ft (100 m).

What batteries does the Scubapro Flashy use and how long does it last?

It runs on CR1220 batteries, and three replaceable CR1220 (G13A, 1.5 V DC) cells are included with each unit. SCUBAPRO rates burn time at up to 12 hours per battery set. Because the cells are replaceable, there is no charging and no cable to carry on a trip.

Does the Flashy LED have a strobe mode?

The manufacturer spec sheet lists Strobe Mode: No, while the product description calls it a mini LED flashing light with SOS mode capability. In practice, treat it as a marker and signaling light rather than a programmable strobe. If you need help confirming the mode behavior for your dive plan, call or chat with our team in Irvine.

Is this listing one light or a set?

This is the individual single-unit version, SKU 30.101.250-Individual, and it includes the light with three CR1220 batteries, a key ring, a plastic clip and a cord. SCUBAPRO also cataloged item 30.101.250 as a case of 20 units with a counter-top box display. If you need multiple markers for a team or a boat, contact us about quantities.

Blinky Light

Not impressed. Light includes 3 small button batteries. You unscrew the light, remove a small piece of plastic, and screw it back together. It now blinks. There’s no on/off switch so I suppose you tighten it before a dive and clip it onto your BC. If you forget to tighten it, water will get in and it’s ruined. If you forget to loosen it after a dive, buy three more button batteries.

The ScubaPro label is a sticker that definitely won’t hold up to seawater so it’s best to peel it off before use.
