With its 7.6/6.5mm thickness, easy-zip waterproof YKK Aquaseal Vislon zipper, improved plush lining to increase warmth and stretch, and a long list of convenience features, the NovaScotia is the diver's answer to a comfortable, affordable semi-dry suit. Positioned between a traditional wetsuit and a neoprene drysuit, the NovaScotia delivers the best of both worlds in cold water, temperate water, and multi-dive protection.

Is the NovaScotia a wetsuit or a drysuit?

It is a semi-dry suit, which SCUBAPRO positions between a traditional wetsuit and a neoprene drysuit. The 7.5mm Everflex neoprene, glued and blind-stitched seams, waterproof YKK Aquaseal Vislon back zipper and double-zippered wrist and ankle seals greatly reduce water exchange, but you will still take on a small amount of water that your body then warms. It is CE certified as a Class A dive suit.

What water temperatures is the NovaScotia 7.5mm rated for?

SCUBAPRO rates the NovaScotia Semi-Dry for water temperatures of 45 to 54°F (7 to 12°C). The 7.6/6.5mm Everflex neoprene, integrated hood and plush lining in the arms, legs and shoulders supply the insulation, while the waterproof back zip and double-zippered extremity seals limit flushing during the dive.

Does it come with the hood, and does it have a pocket?

Yes. The hood is integrated into the suit, so nothing separate is needed, and the suit ships as a steamer with the attached hood. For storage there is a 3D thigh pocket with an external hood hook on the outside, and both arms have I-Safe straps so you can mount instruments where they stay readable.

What sizes are available and how much does the suit weigh?

The NovaScotia Semi-Dry is offered in Black in S, M, MT, L, LS, LT, XL, XLS, XLT, 2XL, 2XLT, 3XL and 4XL, so short and tall builds are covered. Weight and length change with size: size M is listed at 7.38 lb and 57.5 in, while size 4XL is 9.09 lb and 64.3 in.
