Element III Console + RS-790 — features & specs
The Tusa Soverin Alpha Package with Element III Console & RS-790 is a versatile setup for scuba and diving trips, combining trusted equipment with practical transport. This package includes the BA0301 Mesh Roller Bag, ideal for carrying a full dive kit. Built from durable rubberized mesh, it offers quick-drying usability between watersports sessions. The oversized main compartment opening simplifies loading and unloading, while smooth-gliding wheels, an internal pocket, and a shoulder strap support easy transport and organization on docks and boats.
Designed to support routine underwater exploration, the package focuses on reliability and convenience. The Element III Console and RS-790 pair with the Soverin Alpha components to provide dependable performance in common diving scenarios, while the mesh bag keeps gear organized between dives.
Element III Console + RS-1001 — features & specs
The BA0301 Mesh Roller Bag provides ample room for a full set of dive gear. Durable rubberized mesh and an oversized main compartment opening make this the perfect duffle bag for watersports. Durable smooth gliding wheels are a great addition to the bag as well as an internal pocket, shoulder strap, and two heavy-duty carry handles.
TUSA's BC0102 Soverin Alpha incorporates TUSA's new Advanced Weight Loading System (A.W.L.S III). The BC0102 features a new Repositionable D-ring and Snap Hook design for personal customization. The Soverin Alpha offers a secure, comfortable fit provided by TUSA’s Independent Harness System, enhanced lumbar, and comfort back pad. The newly designed waist belt adjusts effortlessly, and the weight trim pockets are sealed by heavy-duty zippers.
The Element III Console Mount features a user-replaceable CR2450 battery and utilizes the Buhlmann ZHL-16C algorithm for dive planning. It is compatible with Nitrox and includes a backlight for improved visibility.
The balanced diaphragm R1000 first stage is compact and lightweight. It has a full complement of four low-pressure and two high-pressure ports and is fine-tuned for optimum performance.
The S0001 second stage features a venturi adjustment lever to deliver air smoothly with each breath. The S0001 is also equipped with an ortho-consciously designed mouthpiece to increase comfort and reduce jaw fatigue. The S0001 allows for left or right hand configuration.

The TUSA Soverin Alpha Package with Element III Wrist & RS-1001 brings together the core components for reliable scuba diving performance in a single setup. This all-in-one bundle includes the Soverin Alpha BCD, the Element III wrist computer, and the RS-790 regulator, designed to support divers of all levels with comfort and functional capability.
Built for comfort and straightforward operation, the Soverin Alpha BCD features a high-cut waist design, cushioned back and shoulder padding, and the Advanced Weight Loading System (A.W.L.S. III). Repositionable D-rings offer customization for accessory attachment, while the Independent Harness System and RiteTite buckle contribute to secure fit and buoyancy control. The harness system provides stability in the water, and two double-zippered pockets keep essential items within reach. Stainless and resin D-rings add durability, with color options in Black and Pink and sizes from XXS to L. Lift capacity varies by size, from XXS (22.5 lbf) to L (36.0 lbf).
The TUSA Element III wrist computer uses the Bühlmann ZHL-16C algorithm for decompression modeling, supports Nitrox, and includes a backlight. The console mount is compatible with Element III and is powered by a user-replaceable CR2450 battery for reliable field use.
The RS-790 Regulator Yoke features the R-700 first stage with a balanced diaphragm and an anti-freeze-inspired dry ambient pressure chamber for cold temperatures. A ribbed section improves heat transfer to resist freezing in cold water. It includes two high-pressure ports and four low-pressure ports (2 standard/2 high-flow), with high-flow LP ports delivering up to 15% more air flow. The Safe Second SS-0001 is a high-performance, lightweight octopus designed for comfortable breathing, featuring a compact composite case. Frequently Asked Questions
How should a scuba BCD fit?
A BCD should fit snugly enough that it does not ride up toward your ears when inflated, while still letting you breathe fully. Fasten the waist and cummerbund first, then adjust the shoulder straps so the tank sits close to your back and the shoulders cannot slide off. With the BCD fully inflated at the surface you should still be able to take a deep, comfortable breath; if it squeezes your chest, loosen it or move up a size.
How do I rinse and care for a BCD after diving?
Rinse the outside in fresh water and also flush the inside of the bladder, because salt water gets in through the inflator and dump valves. Fill the bladder roughly a third full of fresh water through the oral inflator, slosh it around, then drain it out through the inflator and each dump valve. Hang it to dry out of direct sunlight and store it partially inflated so the bladder walls do not stick together.
Should I use integrated weights or a weight belt?
Integrated weight pockets carry the lead in the BCD itself, which many divers find more comfortable and easier on the hips, while a weight belt keeps the weight independent of your BCD. Either way, you must be able to release your ditchable weight quickly with one hand, and your buddy should know how your system releases. Non-ditchable trim pockets are useful for balance but should never hold weight you might need to drop.
How do I pack a BCD for travel?
Make sure the BCD is completely dry inside and out before packing so it does not mildew in transit. Remove all weights, deflate it fully, and fold or roll it around softer items such as a wetsuit to cushion the inflator and valves. Avoid hard creases in the air cell, and unpack and air it out as soon as you arrive.
When does a BCD need to be serviced?
Follow the service interval in the manufacturer's manual, which is commonly an annual inspection alongside the rest of your life-support gear. Have the inflator, dump valves, and bladder checked any time the inflator sticks, free-flows, feels rough, or the BCD holds air poorly. Between services, confirm that it inflates and deflates properly as part of every pre-dive check.
What is the difference between a jacket-style and a back-inflate BCD?
A jacket-style BCD holds air in panels that wrap around your sides as well as your back, while a back-inflate BCD keeps the entire air cell behind you. Jacket styles tend to feel very stable and upright at the surface, and back-inflate styles keep the chest clear and are often preferred for horizontal trim underwater. Neither is objectively better, so treat it as a fit and preference decision and try both if you can.
Will my BCD fit any scuba tank?
Most recreational BCDs use an adjustable cam band sized for common single-cylinder diameters, so standard aluminum and steel tanks generally work. Re-check the band tension after the first wetting, because webbing can relax slightly and let the tank shift. If you dive doubles or unusual cylinder diameters, confirm compatibility with the manufacturer before assuming it will hold.
