Product Information
The Shearwater Petrel Battery Cap Kit is a replacement battery cap kit for the Petrel dive computer, offered in two knurling styles: Crushed (part 10503) and Radial (part 10503-01). The kit improves the electrical contact in the Petrel battery system — the gold plating on the spring and washer is resistant to oxidation and corrosion.
The supplied electrical contact grease keeps oxygen and other contaminants such as seawater away from the electrical contacts, helping to prevent problems; Shearwater highly recommends using the grease even with the gold-plated parts.
