Which Zeagle BCDs does the Mesh Weight Pouch fit?
The Mesh Weight Pouch is designed for Zeagle Ripcord equipped BCDs. Zeagle lists it as standard equipment on the Ranger LTD and as a separately sold accessory for the Ranger, Stiletto and Zena. If you own a different or older Zeagle BCD and are not sure whether it uses the Ripcord weight system, call 888-701-4017 and we will confirm compatibility before you order.
What capacities does the Zeagle Mesh Weight Pouch come in?
Zeagle offers the Mesh Weight Pouch in 10 lb, 12 lb and 18 lb capacities. This listing is the 18 lb version, the largest published capacity. Divers who need less lead, or who prefer to split ballast more evenly between the left and right pouches, often choose the 10 lb or 12 lb options instead.
Should I choose the 18 lb pouch or a smaller capacity?
Pick the 18 lb pouch if you dive heavy exposure protection such as a thick wetsuit or drysuit and need the most ballast per pouch. If your total weighting is modest, the 10 lb or 12 lb capacities make it easier to balance lead side to side for better trim. Zeagle publishes the pouch in 10 lb, 12 lb and 18 lb capacities; call us if you need help choosing.
Is this pouch already included with my Zeagle BCD?
It depends on the model. Zeagle supplies the Mesh Weight Pouch as standard with the Ranger LTD, so owners of that BCD typically only buy it as a spare or replacement. For the Ranger, Stiletto and Zena, Zeagle sells the Mesh Weight Pouch separately, so you would add it as an accessory.
