The Super Macro Close Up Lens captures macro images and videos from 3.5” to 7” (9cm to 18cm). The lens features a 2-element optical grade wet lens with anti-reflective coating and anodized aluminum construction with rubber press-on lens mount. The Super Macro Lens works with the Micro 3.0 camera, with a focus range of 4” to 6” (10cm to 15cm), and a focus range of 3.5” to 7” (9cm to 18cm) with SeaLife Micro HD, HD+, 2.0 and ReefMaster RM-4K cameras.

Includes two (white) removable focus distance sticks (4.75?/18.7mm), safety lanyard and protective pouch.

Fits Micro Micro HD, HD+, 2.0, 3.0 models & RM-4K cameras.

Which SeaLife cameras work with the Super Macro Lens?

The Super Macro Lens (SL571) is compatible with the SeaLife Micro 3.0, Micro 2.0, Micro HD, Micro HD+, and ReefMaster RM-4K cameras. It attaches to each of these models with the same rubber press-on mount, though the usable focus range differs slightly between the Micro 3.0 and the other compatible cameras.

How close do I need to be to my subject with this lens?

Focus distance depends on the camera. On the Micro 3.0, the usable range is 4 inches to 6 inches (10cm to 15cm) from the subject. On the Micro HD, HD+, 2.0, and ReefMaster RM-4K, the range extends from 3.5 inches to 7 inches (9cm to 18cm), with a minimum focus distance of about 3.5 inches.

Can I use the Super Macro Lens out of water?

No. The SL571 is a wet lens, meaning it is designed to have water between it and the camera's lens to achieve correct focus and its rated 2.5x to 3.5x magnification. The press-on mount can be attached or removed on land, but image quality and magnification are only accurate when shooting underwater.

What is included with the Super Macro Lens, and how deep is it rated?

Each SL571 comes with the lens itself, two removable focus distance sticks (4.5 inches / 11.4cm), a safety lanyard, and a protective pouch. The lens is depth rated to 200ft (60m).
