Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Flex-Connect Dual Tray fit the SportDiver Ultra housing?
No. The Flex-Connect Dual Tray (SL9904) is compatible with SeaLife cameras and the SportDiver and SportDiver S smartphone housings, but not the SportDiver Ultra. For the Ultra housing, SeaLife makes the separate Flex-Connect Ultra Dual Tray (SL9908). If you are unsure which housing generation you own, contact us before ordering and we will confirm the right tray for it.
What size camera will the Dual Tray hold?
The tray accepts cameras and housings up to 7.3 inches (185mm) wide, and it mounts to anything with a standard 1/4-20 tripod thread. The tray itself is 11 inches (278mm) wide, 1.9 inches (48mm) deep and 1.3 inches (33mm) high, with two grip positions.
How do lights and arms attach to the tray?
They click on. The Flex-Connect system uses a click-to-attach connection with a push-button release, so grips, Flex Arms, lights and flashes snap into place and come off with one button press. Positive release tabs hold accessories securely while still allowing quick disassembly for travel or rinsing after a dive.
Will the tray make my camera rig heavy underwater?
It is only slightly negatively buoyant, which SeaLife notes makes for comfortable underwater handling, and the two grip positions add stability and control.
