Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right Seac Libera size?

Measure your nose-to-chin distance: under 10 cm takes XS-S, 10 to 11.5 cm takes S-M, over 11.5 cm takes L-XL. Under 10 cm takes the XS-S, 10 to 11.5 cm takes the S-M, and more than 11.5 cm takes the L-XL. The XS-S also uses a reduced body shell, which lightens the mask and improves the fit on smaller faces.

Does the Seac Libera fog up?

The Libera is built to resist fogging. Its patented separate channel breathing system keeps inhaled and exhaled air in completely different channels, so warm, humid exhaled breath is not directed across the lens. The result is a clear wide panoramic polycarbonate screen plus easier, more natural breathing through the nose and mouth.

Is the Seac Libera suitable for children?

Seac recommends the Libera for adults and children aged 10 and up. For younger or smaller faces, the XS-S size fits a nose-to-chin measurement under 10 cm and uses a reduced body shell that lightens the mask and improves fit on smaller faces. Always check the measurement rather than guessing by age alone.

What happens if water gets into the mask?

The Libera uses two features to deal with water. The dry top snorkel system closes off the tube to prevent water entry if the snorkel is accidentally submerged, and integrated purge valves let any water that does get inside drain out of the mask. Quick release buckles on both sides also allow fast single-handed removal.
