How Ocean Reef measures

It is essential to choose a suitable size. You can choose between size S/M (for adults with smaller faces, women and children over 12 years old) and size M/L (for an adult male, or larger faces).

Nose bridge to chin: Measure the distance between the bridge at the top of your nose and the bottom of your chin.
Try-on: There are two different size categories on the chart: Small/Medium and Medium/Large. If the measurements fall within the both ranges, then the diver should technically be able to wear either full face mask (M/L or S/M), and in that case should try on a mask to select the best fit. Once the mask is tight on your face, if there is NO SPACE between your chin and the silicone skirt of the mask, you've got the right size.

Is the Ocean Reef Space Extender compatible with the Vesper dive light?

Yes. Ocean Reef lists the Space Extender as compatible with the Vesper underwater dive light and communication accessory, along with its other Neptune and SPACE line full-face masks. This lets divers add underwater lighting and communication capability to the Space Extender without swapping masks.

What sizes does the Space Extender come in and how do I choose?

The Space Extender is offered in two sizes: S/M (Small/Medium) and ML (Medium/Large). Since it is a full-face mask with an integrated regulator, proper fit affects both seal and comfort, so divers between sizes or unsure of fit should contact a dive shop for guidance before purchasing.

What comes included with the Space Extender Mask Kit?

The Space Extender ships with the full-face mask itself plus the Extender Kit, which includes a pre-assembled Extender frame, the NACS (Neptune Adjustable Communication Support), and earphone supports. A Surface Air Valve (SAV) is also included with the mask.

Can the Extender Kit frame be used on other Ocean Reef masks?

According to Ocean Reef's own FAQ, the Extender Kit frame is retrofittable to GDivers, Neptune Space, and Raptor model masks produced from 2006 to 2015, in addition to being included standard on the Space Extender. This makes it possible to add the same camera and comms mounting frame to compatible older masks.
