No. The Snorkie-Talkie is rated IP68 and waterproof to 3 m (10 ft), so it can get wet and handle splashes at the surface, but it does not transmit or receive while submerged. It is designed for above-water communication between snorkelers, with a range of up to 150 m (500 ft).

How long does the Snorkie-Talkie battery last?

It offers about 8 hours of continuous operating time on a charge and roughly 1,200 hours of standby life. The battery is USB-rechargeable and includes a battery level indicator so you can check remaining charge before a trip.

Is the Snorkie-Talkie compatible with other radios?

Yes. Ocean Reef states it is compatible with standard radios; compliance is FSR for USA (OR015110) and PMR446 for EU (OR015100).

How many people can use Snorkie-Talkie units together?

The unit offers four selectable channels. Two units can be paired on one channel for direct one-on-one conversation between snorkeling buddies, or a tour leader can use a channel to narrate to an entire group of snorkelers at once.
