Product Information

To see this underwater, you'll need a light with a dichroic "excitation filter" attached AND a yellow "barrier filter" on your mask and camera system. What you'll generally see is a glow emitted from a variety of corals and animals, mostly in greens, blues, and reds. You may find two of the same type of corals—one which fluoresces, and one which doesn't. Dive your favorite spots in a different light and see what you've been missing!

Fluorescence is technically the photon emitted as an electron relaxes from its excited state to its ground state. In layman's terms, it's the glowing you are familiar with in glow sticks, jellyfish, and forensics. A variety of organisms and materials above and below water exhibit fluorescence—often with the introduction of a particular wavelength of light.

Fluorescence photography may be captured during the day by experimenting with using a very powerful, filtered light source and under-exposing the ambient light.

Economical and Versatile Fins ForThis Beginner

Took these to French Polynesia and they were super light to carry around all the different islands me, varied easily in the plane. They handled well in the open ocean, and were excellent for lagoon use. Very durable, I know I’ll get many years of use with these fins. Can be worn alone but I felt most comfortable with the use of a boot

I really like these weight pockets. They’re just large enough to fit individual weights and they are small enough to be complete out of the way and you don’t even realize they’re on your BCD.

Only downfall or dislike, which is completely 100% nothing big….is the lettering isn’t highlighted the same as it is on the larger weight pocket lids. A small detail but it does almost make the lids look like they’re after market and not meant for the Scubapro BCD.

I just bought these fins and I’m excited to put them to use in an upcoming trip to Cozumel. I love the idea of taking them apart for ease of packing. Wish Scubapro would make the heel pockets same colors as all the blade options….but hope they’ll finally come to there senses soon!.
