Product Information

This package pairs the Hollis ST Travel System BCD Tech (ST22 Wing) with a complete 150LX regulator setup from the same product line, so the major pieces of your scuba kit come from one coordinated system. The ST Travel System is a minimalist backplate-and-wing rig built around the ST22 wing (22 lbs lift / 10 kg) and Backplate 2.0, using an HD Laminated 1680D Cordura outer shell over a 420 nylon internal bladder. A welded flange and one-piece retainer let you service the wing without tools, and an offset elbow keeps hose routing clear of your tank valve, with built-in cam band slots and a tank cradle to keep the rig stable underwater.

For breathing gas, the Holis 150LX DC7 Dive Regulator Set pairs the DC7 first stage with the 150LX second stage, using a pneumatically balanced, chrome-plated brass valve for smooth breathing and a reversible demand valve you can set up for right- or left-handed hose routing. The included Hollis 150LX Stainless Steel Octopus shares that same 150LX design and valve technology, so your primary and backup second stages feel and perform the same way when it matters. Both the regulator set and octopus use MiFlex braided hoses, ergonomic exhaust channels that move bubbles clear of your view, and the improved orthodontic mouthpiece with dual color tabs, and both are suitable for coldwater diving.

Because the BCD, regulator, and octopus all come from Hollis's ST Travel System and 150LX lines, they share consistent design and maintenance standards, giving you one coordinated setup instead of mixing parts from different systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Hollis ST Travel System (ST22 wing)?

It's a minimalist backplate-and-wing BCD setup that pairs the ST22 wing (22 lbs / 10 kg lift) or the ST35 wing (35 lbs / 16 kg lift) with a Backplate 2.0. The wing uses an HD laminated 1680D Cordura outer shell with a 420 nylon internal bladder, and the flange is welded with a one-piece retainer so it can be serviced without tools. It's built as a streamlined, modular platform rather than a traditional jacket-style BCD.

What's the difference between the stainless and aluminum backplate options?

The Stainless Backplate 2.0 is AISI 304 stainless steel, 4 mm thick, sandblasted with electropolished and passivated surfaces, and weighs about 6.5 lbs (3 kg), adding stability and rigidity. The Aluminum Backplate 2.0 is EN AW 6061 aluminum, 3 mm thick, hard-anodized in marine black, and weighs about 1.5 lbs (1 kg), making it the more travel-friendly option. Both are laser-cut and CNC-bent.

How does the ST Travel System's harness and tank mounting work?

The system is built around a solo harness approach for simplicity, with built-in cam band slots and a tank cradle to stabilize the tank against the backplate. It also has a lower-left pull relief valve, and the elbow is offset so it clears the tank valve and keeps hose routing streamlined.

How much does the ST Travel System backplate weigh?

We don't have one combined weight for the whole wing-and-backplate system, but the backplate itself is documented: about 6.5 lbs (3 kg) for the stainless version, or about 1.5 lbs (1 kg) for the aluminum version. That weight difference is the main tradeoff between the two backplate options.

What's included in this bundle?

This package includes the Hollis ST Travel System BCD Tech (ST22 Wing), the Hollis 150LX DC7 Dive Regulator Set (with DC7 first stage), and the Hollis 150LX Stainless Steel Octopus, one of each, bundled together.
