Important: This item is a Hollis CRIB component and is not a complete BCD. It is designed to be used as part of a backplate and harness system and must be paired with other compatible components to form a full buoyancy compensator setup.
The Hollis CRIB Custom Solo Harness is a minimalist continuous webbing harness designed for use with standard backplate systems in single tank and double tank diving configurations. Based on the proven Hollis Solo harness design, this setup uses a single piece of 2-inch nylon webbing to create a clean, durable, and highly adjustable harness without plastic hardware or complex stitching. The continuous webbing approach allows divers to fine-tune fit, trim, and equipment placement while maintaining a streamlined profile in the water.
This harness is part of the Hollis CRIB (Custom Rig Integrated Buoyancy) component system, allowing divers to personalize their backplate configuration with functional components and custom color options. The Solo Harness includes stainless steel hardware components designed for long-term exposure to saltwater environments, including D-rings, triglides, and a stainless steel waist buckle. Its simple routing through the backplate provides reliability and ease of maintenance while reducing potential failure points.
The design supports precise placement of D-rings for accessories such as SPGs, stage bottles, and lights, making it suitable for both recreational and technical diving applications. The absence of padding or break points ensures the harness remains compact against the diver’s body, preserving proper trim and reducing drag.
