Product Information
HRM 600 is the top chest strap in the range and does considerably more than report a heart rate. Paired with a compatible smartwatch it produces running dynamics — including step speed loss, which quantifies how much speed you shed on each foot strike — and team sport speed and distance for indoor sports where GPS is useless.
It also records activities on its own, controlled from the Garmin Connect app, across a long list of sports including cardio, running, cycling, swimming, basketball, volleyball, hockey, football and more. That makes it usable as a standalone sensor in a pool or a sports hall where a watch is impractical.
The battery is rechargeable lithium ion rather than a coin cell, giving about two months at an hour a day from a proprietary plug charger. Water rating is 5 ATM, the module weighs 18 g, and it broadcasts on ANT+ with no connection limit plus three simultaneous Bluetooth Low Energy connections.
