Product Information

This bundle pairs the Garmin Descent Mk3i Dive Computer with the Descent T2 Transceiver and the Descent S1 Diver Communication Buoy, three pieces of the Garmin dive ecosystem built to work together over SubWave sonar. The T2 Transceiver tracks air pressure, depth, air consumption rate, and time remaining for up to 8 tanks and sends that data to the air-integrated Mk3i on your wrist. The Mk3i itself supports multiple dive modes and, once paired with a T2 transceiver, can display tank data for divers in your group over the SubWave network. Choose a 43 mm or 51 mm case size for the Mk3i to fit your wrist.

The Descent S1 Diver Communication Buoy extends that same SubWave network to the surface. It lets a surface team monitor up to eight divers at once, tracking tank pressures, depths, and alerts, and it supports two-way preset messaging with divers wearing a Descent T2 paired with a compatible dive computer. Divers can also see distance and direction back to the buoy for return-to-base reference, and after the dive, exploration areas can be reviewed as a heatmap in the Garmin Dive smartphone app.

Both the Mk3i and the T2 Transceiver are dive-rated to 20 ATM (200 meters). The T2 runs on a replaceable 3V CR123A lithium battery rated for up to 100 hours of operation, while the S1 buoy uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery good for up to 15 hours and connects to the Garmin Dive app over Wi-Fi within 60 meters of the surface. Together, the three components give you tank monitoring on your wrist, communication between divers, and a link back to the surface for the same dive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included when I buy this bundle?

This bundle includes one Garmin Descent Mk3i Dive Computer, one Garmin Descent T2 Transceiver, and one Garmin Descent S1 Diver Communication Buoy, one of each.

What does the Garmin Descent S1 Diver Communication Buoy do?

The S1 buoy uses Garmin's SubWave sonar network so a surface team can monitor up to eight divers at once, tracking tank pressure, depth, and alerts in real time. It also lets divers exchange preset two-way messages through the Garmin Dive app with buddies wearing a compatible Descent computer paired to a T2 transceiver, and it gives returning divers a distance-and-direction reference back to the buoy. After the dive, the app can show a heatmap of where the group explored.

What does the Garmin Descent Mk3i dive computer do?

The Mk3i is an air-integrated dive computer and smartwatch with dive modes for nitrox, trimix, gauge, apnea, apnea hunt, and closed-circuit rebreather. Via SubWave sonar it can send preset messages and monitor tank pressure and depth for up to 8 divers when paired with Descent T2 transceivers, and it's water rated for diving to 200 meters.

Is the Descent Mk3i also a smartwatch, not just a dive computer?

Yes. Alongside its dive functions, the fact sheet lists standard smartwatch features on the Mk3i: an AMOLED touchscreen, sleep score and insights, training readiness and status, Pulse Ox blood oxygen, multi-band GPS, music storage, and Garmin Pay.

What does the Descent T2 transceiver do, and what comes in the box?

The T2 pairs with a compatible air-integrated Descent computer and uses SubWave sonar to send live tank pressure, air consumption rate, and time-remaining data to your wrist; it's dive-rated to 200 meters and up to 8 transceivers can pair with one computer within a 10-meter range. In the box you get the T2 transceiver, an air spool, and documentation.

How does this bundle ship, and what if I need to return something?

Orders over the store's free-shipping threshold ship free with next-day delivery, and the product page always shows the honest, current delivery date for your order. Returns are handled under DiveCatalog's standard returns policy.
