Product Information
Blaze is a wellness monitor for horses. A 40 mm sensor module clips into a neoprene tail wrap and reads heart rate, skin temperature and movement, streaming it live over Bluetooth to the Blaze app on a phone — or to a compatible Garmin smartwatch through a Connect IQ app, so a rider can see it without reaching for a phone.
What you get from that is a picture of effort and recovery rather than a guess: heart rate zones, a heat score that combines the horse's own data with local weather, speed, distance, strides and gait detection. It logs outdoor and indoor training, recovery sessions and transport separately.
It raises threshold alerts for elevated heart rate, changes in skin temperature, severe heat score, cold weather advisories and loss of heart rate signal, plus session-ended and low-battery notices. One primary user connects at a time, with any number of spectators able to follow in optional broadcast mode. The module is IPX7, weighs half an ounce on its own, and runs up to 25 hours per charge.
