Product Information
The Approach J1 is a GPS golf watch sized and strapped for junior golfers. The case is 43 x 43 x 11.4 mm with an anodized aluminium bezel and a chemically strengthened glass lens, and it weighs 29 g. The elastic fabric hook-and-loop band fits smaller wrists, covering a circumference of 115 to 195 mm.
The display is a 390 x 390 pixel AMOLED touchscreen with an optional always-on mode, readable in daylight on the course. Battery life reaches up to 10 days in watch mode and up to 15 hours with GPS running, which covers several rounds between charges. The watch charges from a Garmin proprietary plug charger and holds 4 GB of memory.
A 5 ATM water rating means rain, sprinklers and hand washing are not a problem, and the watch can be worn for swimming.
Compatibility: the watch takes 20 mm industry-standard Quick Release bands, so the junior fabric band can be swapped as a young golfer grows. Rounds, scorecards and stats sync to the Garmin Golf app, where they can be reviewed after the round.
