Product Information
The Approach G82 is a premium handheld golf GPS with a radar launch monitor built in, on a 5 in colour touchscreen running at 480 x 800 pixels. The transflective display stays readable in direct sun. The unit measures 3.3 x 6.3 x 0.9 in (84.3 x 160.5 x 21.8 mm) and weighs 10.9 oz (308 g).
An internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives up to 25 hours in GPS mode or up to 8 hours in radar mode, charging over USB-C.
Course features include more than 43,000 preloaded courses worldwide, yardage to the front, middle and back of the green, yardages to layups and doglegs, full vector mapping, hazards, course targets and custom targets, Green View with manual pin position, PinPointer, PlaysLike distance, touch-targeting to read the distance to any point, a virtual caddie, measured shot distance, a digital scorecard, stat tracking, handicap scoring, Swing Tempo and Tempo Training, and a round timer and odometer. Wind speed and direction come through the Garmin Golf app, Laser Range Arc supports Range Relay from a compatible Garmin rangefinder, and Green Contours and aerial imagery are available with a Garmin Golf membership.
The radar launch monitor measures club head speed, ball speed, smash factor and estimated distance for full swings, and putting ball speed, putting club speed, putting tempo and putting stroke length on the green. Practice modes cover the driving range, driving range target practice, putting training and bag mapping.
Compatibility: works with the Approach CT10 automatic club tracking system, sold separately. In the box: Approach G82, radar stand and carabiner bag clip, charging and data cable and documentation. Water rating is IPX7 and the unit is tournament legal with the setting enabled. Rounds, scorecards and stats sync to the Garmin Golf app, where they can be reviewed after the round.
