Product Information
Alpha LTE swaps the MURS radio for a cellular connection. Instead of a fixed range from a handheld, the collar reports over the AT&T and T-Mobile LTE networks, so wherever there is coverage there is tracking — useful on ground where a dog can easily run past a 9-mile radio horizon, and useful when nobody is carrying a handheld at all.
It works two ways. Standalone, the collar reports on its own over LTE. In companion mode alongside a compatible Alpha handheld it leans on the handheld's radio link and runs considerably longer: up to 75 hours on the two-minute update rate against 45 hours standalone.
At 50.8 g it is the lightest device in the Alpha family, rated to 1 ATM, with the same multi-colour LED beacon lights and rescue mode as the radio collars. It fits straps up to 1 inch and charges over USB-C. An LTE service plan is required.
