Product Information
The Dive Rite XT2 Second Stage uses a pneumatically balanced valve, holding gas delivery consistent as tank pressure drops and depth increases so the breathe stays even from the start of a dive to the end. Venturi-assisted airflow carries gas from the valve through to the mouthpiece with minimal work of breathing.
An adjustable inhalation resistance knob and a dive/pre-dive switch let the diver tune the regulator in the water, and both controls are sized to operate with dry gloves on. Teflon-coated internals and oxygen-compatible components suit the XT2 to cold water and enriched air.
The second stage is produced in left and right hand configurations, which matters for sidemount and for a long hose and necklace setup where hose routing has to run the correct way off the diver. A yellow cover secondary with an LP40 hose is available for the alternate air source position. The XT2 weighs 9 oz (255 g).
