Bigblue STRB-IR 940nm Infrared Dive Strobe for Night Vision

The Bigblue STRB-IR is a rechargeable infrared strobe built for military and night-vision use. It emits 940 nm infrared pulses across a wide 270-degree beam, and the signal is invisible to the naked eye but visible through night-vision goggles. Bigblue designed it for covert applications such as HALO and HAHO parachute insertions, under-canopy signaling and submerged insertions.

A body-mounted push button with a battery level indicator controls the strobe. It flashes 120 times per minute while the battery is above 20 percent and 60 times per minute below 20 percent. The rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery provides up to 8 hours of burn time and recharges in about 3 to 4 hours.

The anodized aluminum alloy housing is tested to 150 m (492 ft). The strobe weighs 179 g with the battery installed and has -88 g of buoyancy. It comes with the 18650 battery, a charger, a lanyard and a 3 L dry bag.
