The LEG3ND MBS runs an over-balanced sealed diaphragm first stage that raises intermediate pressure as you go deeper, and its Master Breathing System combines the venturi switch and inhalation resistance adjustment into a single control, so one movement takes you from a free-breathing setting at depth to a dive-ready setting that resists free flow at the surface. An Auto Closure Device keeps the first stage inlet sealed when it's off the tank, and the installed Comfo-Bite mouthpiece uses a bridged palate design that stays seated without clenching. The Helix Stage 3 octopus shares the same balanced diaphragm first stage and pneumatically balanced second stage as its full-size counterpart, with its own Comfo-Bite mouthpiece and an ergonomic venturi knob you can adjust even with gloves on.

The 2-gauge console keeps pressure and depth together on a 36-inch hose routed under your left arm. The pressure gauge reads to 5,000 psi (350 bar) on a Swiss-made shock-resistant Bourdon tube movement, the face is luminescent with a built-in temperature scale for low-light reading, and a one-way safety valve protects the gauge if the lens fails. The console itself is rated for nitrox mixes up to 50 percent.
