Are you looking for a high-performance diving BCD that offers maximum customization and durability? Look no further than our innovative BCD, designed for single cylinder mounting with dual GripLock tank bands or a single tank adapter. Constructed from rugged 1050D Ballistic Nylon, this BCD is built to withstand heavy loads, such as twin steel cylinders, and features multiple grommet settings on the waistband for easy attachment of the SureLock™ weight system. The open shoulder design allows for complete customization, with the ability to add or remove hardware to suit your diving needs.
Equipped with 6-two inch stainless steel D-rings, 6-one inch stainless steel D-rings, and 2-one inch stainless steel D-rings, this BCD offers ample options for attaching accessories such as light canisters, argon bottles, marker buoys, and reels. A removable crotch strap and back pad provide added comfort and versatility, while the heavy-duty waist buckle and stainless steel tri-loaders ensure a secure and comfortable fit.
With SOLAS reflector airway hold-downs and a chest strap included as standard, this BCD is ready for any diving adventure. What sizes does the Apeks WTX Dive Harness come in?
The WTX Dive Harness is offered in four sizes: S (Small), M (Medium), L (Large) and XL (X-Large), all in Black/Black. Item numbers are BT1210101S, BT1210101M, BT1210101L and BT1210101XL. The harness uses stainless steel tri-loaders that distribute load between back, waist and shoulders, plus a heavy-duty stainless steel waist buckle. Can the WTX harness be used with twin steel cylinders?
Yes. The harness accepts the WTX Back Plate, which is what allows it to carry heavy loads such as twin steel cylinders. For single cylinder diving, the harness mounts directly to the cylinder using the dual GripLock tank bands (two nylon tank bands are included) or a single tank adapter, so one harness covers both single and twin configurations.
How many D-rings does the harness have and where are they placed?
There are 14 stainless steel D-rings in total. Six are 2 inch: two angled on the shoulders, two on the hips and two on the crotch strap. Six 1 inch D-rings run along the sides for accessories, and two 1 inch D-rings sit along the lower back for marker buoys, reels and similar items.
Does the WTX harness accept weight pockets?
Yes. The waistband has multiple grommet settings for attaching the Apeks SureLock weight system, so weight pouches can be positioned to suit your trim. The open shoulder design also lets you add or remove other hardware, and the back pad and 2 inch (5 cm) soft webbing crotch strap are both removable if you prefer a stripped-down setup.
