Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose the 11-inch hose instead of a standard-length gauge hose?
The 11-inch (28 cm) hose is intended for pony, deco, and sidemount tank configurations, where a short hose keeps the gauge tucked against the cylinder instead of trailing in the water. For a primary cylinder worn on the back, Zeagle offers alternative versions of this gauge with a standard-length 32-inch hose or as part of a multi-gauge console.
What is the difference between the Imperial and Metric options?
The difference is the dial scale only. The Imperial version (SKU 372-9411) reads in PSI, and the Metric version (SKU 372-9411M) reads in BAR. Both share the same one-piece brass body, 5000 psi rating, 11-inch black hose, luminescent custom Zeagle dial, and Bourdon tube movement. Pick the scale that matches your training, computer, and logbook.
How accurate and durable is this gauge?
Accuracy comes from a Bourdon tube design with a copper beryllium spiral-wound ring, the same arrangement that allows the compact internal layout. Durability comes from the one-piece brass body, which is shock-resistant and rated to 5000 psi. The gauge operates from -5 degrees C to 40 degrees C (23 degrees F to 104 degrees F), covering both cold and tropical water diving.
What does the Zeagle warranty cover on this gauge?
Zeagle provides a two-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal sport diving use. The warranty excludes plastic gauge faces, rubber boots, high-pressure hoses, O-rings, batteries, and corrosion of hose fittings. Routine rinsing after each dive and periodic service by a qualified technician help keep the gauge reading reliably.
