Frequently Asked Questions

Which Mares dive computers work with the LED Tank Module 2.0?

Mares publishes compatibility with the Sirius (414145) and the Quad Ci (414148) dive computers only. Other Mares computers are not listed as compatible with this transmitter. Once the module is associated with one of those computers, the pairing is permanent, so the two units stay linked for future dives. If you are unsure which computer model you own, contact us before ordering.

What do the colored LED lights on the module mean?

The LED Tank Module 2.0 emits a series of colored lights that identify the quantity of gas remaining in the cylinder. This gives you tank information at a glance directly on the transmitter, which is useful for a quick check on the surface while gearing up or during a surface interval, in addition to the pressure shown on the paired Mares dive computer.

Can I change the battery myself?

Yes. It uses a type 14250 user-replaceable battery with a life of 150+ dives. Follow the battery replacement procedure in the Mares LED Tank Module manual. Call us at 888-701-4017 if you would rather have the shop handle it.

Does this transmitter replace my SPG?

It is designed as a wireless device for monitoring air pressure in the scuba tank without a traditional analog SPG. It sends tank pressure data wirelessly to a paired Mares Sirius (414145) or Quad Ci (414148) dive computer. It is EN 250:2014 certified to 300 bar. Many divers still carry a backup gauge as a personal preference.

Item looks new with no visible marks on it at all

Item looks new with no visible marks on it at all even came in factory box (just not sealed). I was a little worried at first because it wouldn’t pair or light up, but upon replacing the battery it worked perfectly. I did message them right away to report the issue and let them know I was waiting for a battery. They were quick to respond.
