Shearwater NERD 2 Dive Computer

The Shearwater NERD 2 is an advanced dive computer in a heads-up display format — the world's first Near Eye Remote Display for scuba divers, redesigned for enhanced flexibility and reliability. A micro LCD display combined with a magnifying lens makes the data appear as if viewed on a 25-inch TV from 12 feet away, so divers can check crucial dive information with a glance of the eye while keeping both hands free. The universal regulator mount on the stand-alone model fits most regulators (17-21 mm hose), and two hole patterns allow custom mounts and compatibility with NERD 1 mounts.

Dive modes include Air, Nitrox, 3 Gas Nitrox, OC Tec (a multi-gas trimix decompression computer), CC INT fixed PPO2 for closed circuit rebreather diving, and Gauge with stopwatch and dive logging, supporting 5 open circuit and 5 closed circuit gases on the Buhlmann Gradient Factors decompression algorithm. Air integration displays tank pressure from up to four transmitters in all modes, and a 3-axis tilt-compensated digital compass aids navigation. The internal rechargeable Li-ion battery delivers 18 hours of dive time per charge via a snap-on charging clip and USB cable, and Bluetooth wireless technology connects to Shearwater Cloud for dive logging and firmware updates. Depth-rated to 300 m (985 ft), the NERD 2 is offered as a stand-alone (SA) unit plus Fischer, DiveCAN Monitor (5-pin), and Monitor (4-pin) rebreather-connected models.
