Product Information
The Shearwater Swift Transmitter is a wireless air integration transmitter that mounts on a regulator first stage high pressure port and sends tank pressure to a compatible air integrated dive computer using low frequency 38kHz radio. It is compatible with all Shearwater air integrated dive computers, installs with no tools on a 7/16"-20 UNF high pressure port, is rated to 200msw and runs on a user replaceable CR2 3V lithium battery.
Who it is for
The Swift suits any diver using a Shearwater air integrated computer who wants tank pressure on the wrist instead of reaching for a gauge. Because each Swift uses a randomized transmit interval of 4.8 to 5.2 seconds and carries an onboard receiver that checks for other transmitters before sending, four or more units can run at once without colliding, so it works for group diving, sidemount and multi tank setups. Two or more dive computers can also be programmed to receive the same transmitter, which is useful for instructors and buddy teams.
Key details
- Rated air pressure 300 bar / 4350 psi, pressure resolution 0.14 bar / 2 psi, accuracy 5% of full scale.
- Activates at 7 bar / 100 psi and deactivates at 3.5 bar / 50 psi, powering down after 1 minute with no applied pressure.
- CR2 3V user replaceable battery, 2.55 Wh, good for 300 dive hours and 5 year storage time; power save mode extends non diving pressurized time 2 to 3 times.
- LED status indicator: quick green flash on normal transmit, quick red flash when interference is detected.
- Compact 76 mm x 34 mm body at 135 g, built with O2 compatible materials, not shipped O2 clean.
- Designed and built in Canada.
Compatibility and sizing
The Swift fits the high pressure port of a scuba first stage; Shearwater recommends a first stage with at least two HP ports so a backup SPG can still be used. Installation is hand tight to snug, and an 11/16" or 17mm wrench may be used if desired. Transmission range is approximately 3ft (1m), so mount it within reach of the computer. A high pressure hose rated 4350 psi / 300 bar or higher may be used with a 21 x 4.25 mm spool insert, which is not included. Each transmitter carries a six digit serial number etched on the body for pairing.

- Interference avoidance Randomized 4.8 to 5.2 second transmit interval plus an onboard receiver that checks for other transmitters, so four or more Swifts can be used simultaneously.
- Broad Shearwater compatibility Works with all Shearwater air integrated dive computers, including pre-existing Shearwater AI models.
- User replaceable battery CR2 3V lithium cell (Panasonic CR2 Industrial Lithium recommended) rated for 300 dive hours and 5 year storage time.
- Power save mode Extends non diving pressurized time by 2 to 3 times, and the transmitter powers down automatically after 1 minute below 3.5 bar / 50 psi.
- LED status indicator Quick green flash on a normal transmit, quick red flash when interference is detected, and a red, yellow, green self test sequence at battery change.
- Tool free installation Mounts and removes by hand on a 7/16"-20 UNF high pressure port; an 11/16" or 17mm wrench may be used if desired.
- 200msw depth rating Rated air pressure of 300 bar / 4350 psi with an HP port proof pressure of 450 bar / 6525 psi.
- Accurate reporting 0.14 bar / 2 psi resolution, 5% full scale accuracy and a zero offset under 3.5 bar / 50 psi.
- Auto wake Wakes when it detects pressure above 7 bar / 100 psi and transmits pressure data roughly every 5 seconds.
- Compact and light 76 mm long, 34 mm diameter, 135 g.
- O2 compatible materials Built with oxygen compatible materials, though not shipped oxygen clean.
- Serial number pairing Six digit serial number etched on the body is used to pair the transmitter to a computer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which dive computers work with the Shearwater Swift Transmitter?
The Swift is compatible with all Shearwater air integrated dive computers, including pre-existing Shearwater AI models. It may also be used with other brands of dive computers that are compatible with Shearwater transmitters, though Shearwater states that this operation cannot be guaranteed. Two or more dive computers can be programmed to receive the same transmitter, and legacy Shearwater transmitters can be mixed with a Swift in multi transmitter setups.
How many Swift transmitters can be used at the same time?
Four or more Swift transmitters may be used simultaneously. Each Swift transmits on a randomized interval of 4.8 to 5.2 seconds and includes an onboard receiver that checks for other transmitters so it does not collide with their data. If you mix a Swift with legacy Shearwater transmitters, Shearwater advises a maximum of two, one grey and one yellow.
What battery does the Swift use and how long does it last?
The Swift runs on a user replaceable CR2 3V lithium battery, with the Panasonic CR2 Industrial Lithium recommended. Rated life is 300 dive hours plus about 5 years of storage time, and power save mode extends non diving pressurized time by 2 to 3 times. Low battery shows a yellow warning at 2.75V and a critical red warning at 2.50V. The cover screws take a 1.5 mm hex driver.
Can the Swift be mounted on a hose instead of directly on the first stage?
Yes. The Swift installs directly on the high pressure port of a first stage with no tools, but a high pressure hose rated for 4350 psi (300 bar) or higher may be used instead. Hose mounting requires a 21 x 4.25 mm spool insert, which is not included. Transmission range is only about 3 ft (1 m), so position the transmitter within range of your computer.
Review summary
Reviewers consistently report stable pairing with Shearwater computers, including the Perdix, Peregrine, and Nerd 2, with air pressure and real-time SAC rate readable on the wrist. Owners running two transmitters on rebreathers or sidemount rigs note no data clashes, which several credit to the collision handling, and the activity LED gets called out as a useful addition. Battery changes are described as easy, and installation is simple. Build quality reads as well made. It suits divers already using a Shearwater computer who want air integration, including those running multiple sensors.
