UPDATE 3/27/26Β
Huish Outdoors has received reports of internal components within certain Hollis 200LX second stage regulators separating or fracturing before or after a dive.
Their investigation indicates that some units may exhibit reduced impact resistance, particularly if the second stage is dropped or struck on the adjustable inhalation knob. In these cases, damage to the inlet tube assembly could render the second stage non-functional.
While no incidents have been reported during an active dive, this condition could pose a drowning hazard if it were to occur in use. As a precaution, if you have a 200LX affected by this quality alert, stop use immediately. Separate the second stage(s) from the low-pressure hose included with the regulator set and return it to your local service location.
Hollis is currently producing a more durable inlet valve which will allow a retrofit component and resolve the mentioned issue. We expect these parts to be with our global service network within 4-6 weeks of this notice.
The replacement part necessary for this quality alert is an upgraded stainless steel inlet tube which replaces the original brass version. Below is the part number and description of a βLX Inlet Retrofit Kitβ β PN 01.000313. This kit includes the following components:
- 5465 β Poppet Seat x 1Β
- 2.010 β O-ring x 1Β
- 5474 β O-ring x 2Β
- 9805 β Stainless Inlet Chamber x 1Β
- 2.016 β O-ring x 1Β
It is of the upmost importance that if you have a regulator affected by this quality alert, that you stop use and have the inlet valve replaced as soon as possible. It is recommended to destroy any of the inlet tubes found within the affected range.
While there have been no reported incidents of this occurring during use, we believe that the possibility exists which poses a drowning hazard. We recommend that dealers as well as end users take all necessary precautions when dealing with life support equipment.

Reason for the Notice
Reports have been received of internal components within some affected second stages separating or fracturing either before or after dives. Investigation findings indicate certain units may have reduced impact resistance, especially if the second stage is dropped or struck on the adjustable inhalation knob.
In these cases, damage to the inlet tube assembly could cause the regulator to become non-functional. Although no incidents have occurred during active dives, such a failure underwater could create a drowning hazard. As a precaution, a Stop Use notice has been issued while a full technical review and corrective solution are finalized.
