Description
The Hydros X is a front adjustable BCD that offers a fully injection molded Monprene® thermoplastic shoulders and back pad. This unique feature allows the shoulders to conform to your body like a tailored fit. Its flat-buckled quick-release integrated weight system and rear trim weight pockets work together to offer a more comfortable and balanced ride when diving. Add the full-sized backpack and stainless steel Super Cinch tank band and you also get excellent stability both on the surface and at depth. The bladder, made out of EndurTex high-tenacity nylon fabric, is extremely lightweight and durable while offering generous lift capacity, aided by lower back bellows. In the event of damage, several components on the Hydros X are detachable and easily replaceable. The two big zippered cargo pockets offer great gear-carrying capacity and are easily accessible even when the weight pouches are fully loaded. Two stainless steel D-rings provide clip-on points for additional gear. In addition, the Hydros X features a Multi-Mount Accessory Matrix with multiple D-Ring and mounting points that easily attach various dive accessories.

What is the difference between the ScubaPro Hydros X and the Hydros Pro?
The Hydros X is ScubaPro's front-adjustable take on the Hydros concept, while the Hydros Pro is the back-inflate model. The X uses injection-molded Monprene on the shoulders and back pad with a PU-coated 420-denier nylon jacket; the Pro's entire fabric-free harness is molded Monprene gel. Both share the same interchangeable Hydros color kits. If you prefer the familiar feel and surface stability of a front-adjustable BCD, choose the X; if you want the body-hugging modular gel harness in a streamlined back-inflate design, choose the Hydros Pro or its successor, the Hydros Pro 2.

Does the Hydros X come with a travel backpack?
No. Unlike the Hydros Pro, which includes a carry-on travel backpack, the Hydros X does not — ScubaPro sells its BCD Carry Bag separately, which is why our listing notes the backpack is not included. One point of confusion worth clearing up: ScubaPro's product description mentions a 'full-sized backpack,' and that refers to the BCD's rigid molded back plate (the structure that holds your tank), not a travel bag.
What weight system does the Hydros X use?
The Hydros X has an integrated front weight system with flat-buckled quick-release pockets, plus two rear trim pouches for balancing your rig. ScubaPro's Weight Pocket Kit for the Hydros family holds up to 11 lbs (5 kg) of ballast per pocket.
