Product Information
The Ikelite FL 8 Inch Dome Kit for Lenses Up To 4.125 Inches (SKU 5511.3) pairs Ikelite's Modular 8-inch acrylic dome port with the FL Port Extension for lenses up to 4.125 inches, giving underwater shooters a ready-to-assemble wide-angle port system whose extension is rated to 200 feet (60 meters).
Who it is for
This kit suits underwater photographers running an Ikelite housing with a wide-angle zoom lens who want reduced edge distortion compared to a 4- or 6-inch dome, plus the option to shoot over-under (half-in, half-out) images. It is built for shooters who already own, or plan to pair the port with, lenses like the Nikon 12-24mm or Canon 10-22mm.
Key details
- Modular 8-inch dome (#5510.45) is injection-molded acrylic and reduces edge distortion compared to smaller domes.
- FL Port Extension (#5510.22) fits lenses up to 4.125 inches (10.5 cm) long and threads onto the base of the dome.
- Extension is rated to 200 feet (60 meters) and weighs 11.5 oz.
- Maximum lens diameter with the 8-inch dome is 3.3 inches (8.4 cm).
- Maximum lens length drops to 4 inches (10.2 cm) if the Modular Glass Flat Front is used in place of the dome.
Compatibility and sizing
The kit is designed around the Nikon 12-24mm and Canon 10-22mm zoom lenses, but the extension can be swapped for other Ikelite Modular Lens Extensions of different lengths to fit additional lenses, or paired with a Modular Glass Flat Front instead of the dome for macro lens use. Measure your lens or use Ikelite's Port Finder to confirm the correct extension length before ordering.

- Simple assembly: The extension threads directly onto the base of the Modular 8-inch Dome.
- Depth rated to 200 feet: The extension (#5510.22) is rated to 200 feet (60 meters).
- Extension weight: The FL Port Extension (#5510.22) weighs 11.5 oz.
- Zoom lens compatible: Built for popular wide-angle zoom lenses including the Nikon 12-24mm and Canon 10-22mm.
