The Apeks EVX200 Dive Regulator is a complete first and second stage set built for technical and cold-water diving, pairing an over-balanced, environmentally sealed diaphragm first stage with a pneumatically balanced second stage. Should I choose the Yoke or DIN version of the Apeks EVX200?
Choose based on your cylinder valves. The Yoke (232 bar) version, SKU RG159001, uses the standard A-clamp fitting found on most rental and recreational cylinders. The DIN (300 bar) version, SKU RG159000, threads directly into DIN valves and is the usual pick for technical diving and higher-pressure cylinders. Both versions are EVX200 regulator sets; the difference stated by the listing is the Yoke (232 bar) or DIN (300 bar) connection.
Is the Apeks EVX200 suitable for cold water diving?
Yes. The EVX200 is rated for extreme cold-water use. How many hoses and accessories can I attach to the EVX200 first stage?
The first stage offers five medium-pressure ports (3/8" UNF) and two angled high-pressure ports (7/16" UNF). That allows a primary second stage, an alternate air source, a drysuit or BCD inflator hose and additional medium-pressure accessories, plus a submersible pressure gauge and a wireless air transmitter on the high-pressure ports. The angled HP ports help route gauges and transmitters cleanly.
So far I've only done 2 dives with these but what can I say it's Apek's new premium set and it's an Apeks. Nuff said. Dive catalog shipped it 2 day delivery for free. Amazing service
