Product Information
The SportDiver Wide Angle Dome Lens for the SportDiver attaches to the Smartphone housing with its 52mm thread mount to the SportDiver SL081 Lens Adapter. The lens also mounts to other underwater cameras and housings using a 52mm thread mount. It increases the phone or camera’s field-of-view by 43%, allowing photographers to get two times closer to the subject.
The SportDiver Wide Angle Dome Lens design uses high-grade optics arranged in a 4-element/4-group array that delivers crisp edge-to-edge sharpness. The internal elements are fully multi-coated optical glass, and the dome lens is optical polycarbonate with a hard, anti-scratch coating.
The lens has an 18.2mm film-equivalent effective focal length when used with a 26mm phone or camera lens. The lens is waterproof to 200ft/60m.
The SportDiver Wide Angle Dome Lens is a “wet lens” and easily attaches and removes underwater. A locking ring prevents the lens from accidentally detaching when bumped or in rougher water conditions. The lens weighs 11.6 ounces (329 grams) and is negatively buoyant. A lanyard is included to prevent loss underwater, and the lens threads onto the SeaLife SportDiver Lens Adapter (SL081). The rotatable light shade prevents unwanted glare from external lighting or sunlight, as well as protects the dome lens from bumps and abrasion. For more information, review the Instruction Manual.
