The Hollis 5 LB Non-Ditchable Trim Weight Pockets are a pair of fixed weight pockets that each hold up to 5 pounds (2.26 kg) of lead and thread onto any 2" (5 cm) webbing, including cylinder cam-bands and harness waist belts. Built from 100 denier nylon with a zippered opening and a drainage grommet, they add non-releasable trim weight exactly where a diver needs it.

These pockets suit backplate, harness and technical divers who want to move a portion of their lead off the waist to improve trim, as well as recreational divers who need a little fixed ballast on the tank band. Because the pockets are non-ditchable by design, they are intended for the trim portion of a weighting plan, not for emergency-droppable weight. Mounted on the waist belt they also work as small accessory pockets.

This item is sold as a pair, so you receive two pockets. Each pocket holds up to 5 pounds (2.26 kg), for 10 pounds total if both are fully loaded. Divers typically mount one on each side of a cylinder cam-band or one on each side of the harness waist belt to keep the load balanced left to right.
What does non-ditchable mean on these Hollis pockets?
Non-ditchable means the pockets are non-releasable: they thread onto your webbing and stay put, so the weight inside cannot be dumped quickly underwater. Use them for the trim portion of your weighting plan and keep your droppable ballast in a ditchable weight system or weight belt.
