Frequently Asked Questions
Which Shearwater dive computers fit the EVA Case?
Shearwater lists the Ballistic Nylon Carrying Case as compatible with the Teric, Perdix, Petrel, Peregrine, and Tern dive computers. It is sold as one configuration, SKU 53049-02, for the Teric, Perdix, Petrel, Peregrine, and Tern.
What is the case made of and how does it protect the computer?
The exterior is ballistic nylon, a tough woven fabric that resists everyday wear during travel, and the interior uses thick EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) anti-shock padding. Together they cushion the dive computer against impacts and keep the screen and housing protected during transport and storage. A zip-around closure keeps the computer fully enclosed inside the case.
Does the Shearwater EVA Case come in other colors?
No. Shearwater publishes the case in black only, with the Shearwater logo printed on the top panel and on the zipper pull. The listing is sold as a single configuration under SKU 53049-02, so there are no color or size options to select.
Is this case suitable for carrying a dive computer in luggage?
Yes. It is designed as a protective transport and storage case, with a ballistic nylon shell and thick EVA anti-shock padding to guard valuable dive electronics while they move. The zippered closure keeps the computer fully enclosed, which makes it practical for carrying in a dive bag between trips.
