It uses heavily reinforced 1680 Denier Ballistic Nylon with a 24 lb lift ballistic bladder, and its Personal Fit System lets you swap out shoulder and vest sections as your child grows instead of buying a new BCD every season. Rear inflation with a RIPCORD system, an adjustable sternum strap, and elastic waist panels keep the fit secure, and four stainless steel D-rings give you attachment points for accessories.
Air delivery comes from the Zeagle F8 1st Stage with F8 2nd Stage, a diaphragm regulator with a dry-sealed spring chamber that resists freezing in water below 40°F / 4°C, plus an environmentally sealed design and braided hose. Backup air runs through the Octo Z II Octopus, which combines the BC inflator and a spare regulator into a single unit, so there is one less hose to manage. It uses high flow QD connections, a balanced inflation valve for precise BC fill control, and a corrugated hose rinse connection that lets you hook up a garden hose to rinse the BC bladder.
Rounding out the package is the Combo 2 Gauge SPG/MDL with Black Hose, pairing a pressure gauge and a depth gauge on one console. The pressure gauge uses a one-piece brass body with copper-beryllium spiral-wound rings and a Bourdon tube for accurate readings, while the depth gauge covers a 220 ft / 70 m scale with a large, luminous dial.
