Suunto Eon Steel with Boot and USB Dive Computer

I am an advanced open water diver and have been diving since 1990. Have experience with several brands including Oceanic, Aeris and Suunto. This watch has every function a diver can hope for. Large display but doesn't get in the way. Logical, simple to use.

I’ve been a commercial diver (broke out) for 10 years and I can tell you that this computer is everything it claims to be. Which is an adaptable and durable computer for recreation diving (tech and cave included). For no reason should a wrist computer be used or expected to function in conjunction with SurDO2 dives. You can’t wear the computer in the chamber (shouldn’t) and the SUUNTO tables and algorithm are not the same as the DIECM tables we surface dive with. What are you going to do anyway? Yell at your sea daddy to stop the bell because your wrist watch says you need to stop? Get bent like the rest of us. Stick to your GShock and time ascent.

,,,,,,,,,,This is a fantastic computer when used as designed. It syncs and stays synced. The new software is much better than 3 was. Screen clarity is on a whole other level compared to other computers. The strap fits around drysuit and thick cuffs. The ability to set the display layout makes it feel more like a HUD than I computer screen. Just passing glances provide you all the information you need. Rechargeable battery? What a game changer. I’ve got a week of diving out of it and I dive A LOT. I’ve got over 1500 dives on this computer and it’s been flawless every time.

I work as a commercial diver on the west coast of Canada doing hundreds of survey dives each year to collect data. My dive computer is my lifeline and the Suunto Eon Steel has been absolutely great. I've done up to two weeks of diving on a single charge. The battery life is excellent. The display is big, clear and easy to read. I've paired it with a Suunto Pod transmitter and it has been reliable every dive. Over all I'd highly recommend this computer to all levels of divers. #reviewtowin
