Description
The Garmin Descent S1 Diver Communication Buoy brings advanced connectivity to dive operations through SubWave sonar networking. Integrated with the Garmin dive ecosystem, it enables surface teams to monitor and track dive groups, exchange preset messages, and provide navigational reference for returning divers.
Designed for rugged underwater environments, the Descent S1 supports monitoring of up to eight divers, tank pressures, depths, and real-time alerts. Divers wearing compatible dive computers paired with Descent T2 transceivers can view distance and direction back to the buoy, promoting safer return-to-base navigation.
After the dive, information such as heatmaps of exploration areas can be reviewed via the Garmin Dive smartphone app. With robust waterproofing and rechargeable power, the buoy delivers full-day operation and reliable surface connectivity throughout dive missions.
