Product Information
The Approach G20 Solar is a handheld golf GPS that charges from daylight while it is being used. In poor solar conditions the internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery runs 180 hours in GPS-only mode — about 36 rounds — and in direct sunlight at 75,000 lux the battery life is effectively unlimited. It also charges over USB-C.
The display is a sunlight-readable high-resolution monochrome panel, 1.3 x 1.7 in (33 x 44 mm) at 240 x 320 pixels. The unit measures 2.1 x 3.5 x 0.7 in (53 x 90 x 18 mm) and weighs 3.8 oz (108 g), or 5.1 oz (145 g) with the included belt clip fitted.
More than 43,000 courses are preloaded, with yardage to the front, middle and back of the green, yardages to layups and doglegs, hazards and course targets, Green View with manual pin position, measured shot distance, a digital scorecard, stat tracking for strokes, putts, greens and fairways hit, handicap scoring and a round timer and odometer. Auto CourseView keeps course data current. Wind speed and direction are available when connected to the Garmin Golf app, and Laser Range Arc supports Range Relay from a compatible Garmin laser rangefinder.
A high-sensitivity receiver handles positioning, Bluetooth connects to a phone, and Find My Garmin helps locate a mislaid unit. The G20 Solar is tournament legal.
Compatibility: works with the Approach CT10 automatic club tracking system, sold separately. In the box: Approach G20 Solar, belt clip, charging and data cable and documentation. Water rating is IPX7. Rounds, scorecards and stats sync to the Garmin Golf app, where they can be reviewed after the round.
