This package brings together the Shearwater Tern TX Dive Computer and the Shearwater Swift Transmitter for wireless air integration right out of the box. The Swift mounts on a regulator first stage high-pressure port with no tools required, on a standard 7/16-inch-20 UNF thread, and it is compatible with all Shearwater air-integrated dive computers, including the Tern TX. Its advanced collision avoidance system keeps the pressure signal reliable even when other divers nearby are running their own transmitters, and the Tern TX can connect with up to four transmitters at once if more gear gets added later.
The Tern TX itself is a watch-style computer with a 1.3-inch (3.3 cm) full-color AMOLED display at 360 x 360 resolution and 350 nits of typical brightness, protected by a toughened alkali-aluminosilicate glass lens. It runs the Buhlmann ZHL-16C decompression algorithm with gradient factors across Air, Nitrox, 3 Gas Nitrox, Gauge, and Freedive modes, is depth rated to 120 m/394 ft, and includes a 3-axis tilt-compensated digital compass for underwater navigation. The internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery runs up to 20 hours of dive time at medium brightness and recharges on the included wireless charging station with USB-C cable, and switchable vibration alerts stand in for audible alarms.
Rounding out the package is a Shearwater EVA Case sized to fit the Tern TX (it also fits the Teric, Perdix, Petrel, and Peregrine). The case combines a ballistic nylon exterior with thick anti-shock EVA padding and a zippered closure, giving the computer and transmitter a dedicated spot to travel and store safely between dives.
