This package puts the Shearwater NERD 2 heads-up dive computer together with the Swift wireless transmitter and a dedicated EVA case, so you leave with the display, the air-integration hardware, and a case built to carry them. The NERD 2 is Shearwater's near-eye display computer: a micro LCD paired with a magnifying lens puts your dive data in your line of sight, giving roughly the impression of a 25-inch TV viewed from 12 feet away, without having to glance down at a wrist unit. It mounts on the regulator hose (17-21 mm) and is available in the connection option you choose at checkout, including SA, DiveCAN Monitor (5-Pin) in standard, JJ, and O2ptima variants, Monitor AK (4-Pin), and Fischer.
The NERD 2 runs the Buhlmann ZHL-16C algorithm with Gradient Factors and supports Air, Nitrox, 3 Gas Nitrox, OC Tec trimix, CC INT fixed PPO2, and Gauge modes, tracking up to 5 open circuit and 5 closed circuit gases. Paired with the included Swift Transmitter, it displays tank pressure from up to 4 transmitters in every mode. The Swift itself mounts on a regulator first stage high-pressure port with no tools required, runs on a user-replaceable CR2 battery rated for up to 300 dive hours, and uses a collision avoidance system to stay reliable when other divers nearby are running their own transmitters. A 3-axis tilt-compensated compass, an 18-hour internal rechargeable battery, and Bluetooth connectivity for firmware updates round out the NERD 2 side of the package.
The included EVA Case is built specifically for the NERD 2, with a ballistic nylon exterior over a molded, anti-shock EVA interior and thick padding to protect the display unit in transport and storage. Between the computer, the transmitter, and the case, this bundle covers the core hardware and the protective case for a NERD 2 air-integrated setup in one order.
